For this one, you’ll need the peel of citrus fruit, white vinegar and a storage glass. I found this recipe on a brilliant site called smarticular which contains a lot of similar resources and I am going to try every one of those that will help me replace and/or reduce the aggressive chemicals in my household as well as the amount of plastic waste we create. Another benefit of this is reducing the strain on our budget.
- Make sure you fill up the glass with the peel (a good one about this is you can eat the grapefruit, oranges, use the lemon or lime juice before you use the peel)
- Fill the glass up with vinegar
- Leave it to stand for 2-3 weeks
- Make sure it’s covered with vinegar to prevent mould
As soon as the liquid changes colour, the base for your cleaning product is done. Pour it through a sieve and fill an old spray bottle up with it. Add a small dash of washing up liquid to it and that’s it.
thank u so much for the wonderful homemade kitchen cleaner 🙂
